For his SummerSOC 2022 paper entitled Enhancing IoT Platforms for Autonomous Device Discovery and Selection, Jan Schneider receives ServTech’s  Young Researcher Award 2022. The award was presented bv Prof. Dr. Frank Leymann, Program co-chair of SummerSOC 2022. The awardee and his co-author Pascal Hirmer propose a methodology and supporting architecture that enables IoT platforms to autonomously execute custom application logic within IoT ecosystems in a reliable and scalable manner. Their particular focus is on establishing loose coupling to prevent the IoT platform from being limited in its applicability by the immediate adaptation of technology-specific procedures.
