One of the work packages of the EU-funded ONCOSCREEN project, in which ServTech is playing a leading role, focuses on the collection and analysis of retrospective colorectal cancer (CRC) screening data from previous and ongoing CRC screening and early detection studies in national and EU healthcare systems. This task includes the design of a common knowledge model (KN), a query language, and a privacy preserving data storage method. The KN is used to homogenize and integrate data from different heterogeneous sources, while the query language serves to access data in different sources. The clinical sites involved in the project will provide the study data in addition to CRC data found in open databases worldwide.
